How to use Visitoons Chat?
Visitoons is a unique and easy to use tool. In order to use Visitoons you must first enter a room that provides the service.
Can’t see my Avatar!
Check you don’t have a firewall blocking this application. If you are entering the site from work, could mean that your boss doesn’t want you to get distracted! Check that there is no internal security network preventing the running of Visitoons.
How to chat?
Chatting
Write a message in the script box on the left corner of your page, enter and chat with other connected users through the dialogue bubbles like on a comic strip.
Private chat
If you wish to have a private conversation with other users, invite them by clicking on their avatar and select the option “Private Chat Invite”, on their User Card. If the other person accepts your invitation, you can chat privately and other users will be unable to read what you write.
How do I use my Avatar?
Moving
Once you enter a room, your avatar will appear in the center of the screen. Move through the scene with the cursors (up-down / right-left), and test your special abilities using the “Control”, “Shift” and “Re Pag / Page Up” keys. Use these commands to fly, dance, fight and show what each character in particular knows how to do, with the “Home” key.
Walking and running
Move your avatar with the cursors on the keyboard. With the “left” and “right” arrows your avatar will move sideways.
You can use the “up” and “down” arrows to move your avatar further or closer on your screen.
Keep the “Shift” key pressed while you walk and your avatar will start running.
Fighting
To fight, simply get close to the other character and keep the “Control” key pressed, to be on guard, press “Shift” and you will start punching your rival.
You will find out that each avatar has their own fighting technique according to their personalities.
Flying
Use the “Re Pag / Page Up” keys and test your flying experience. Combine these keys with the cursors to move through the whole screen.
Do what you know
Keep the “Home” key pressed and your avatar will do what it’s really good at. Try them; each character has a different move.
How do I change Avatars?
Selecting your favorite character
Change and get to know all of Visitoons characters, entering Menu Profile option.
Move the arrows on the side of the pictures and you will be able to select between several characters: from Einstein, Mother Theresa to Rocky Balboa, Bob Marley and Diego Maradona.
Choose your favorite one and click on “Apply Changes” to update your new avatar.
Other functions
Help
Select from your User Card the option Help and a window will appear offering help, click yes.
Block user
Click on the avatar of the user you want to block, select “Block User” from the User Card and done! This person will no longer be able to see or talk to you. The avatar will appear semi-transparent. Unblock them clicking on their avatar and selecting “Unblock User”.
You can also block / unblock from the menu, option “Online Users”, by clicking on the user’s image.
Chat
Open the tab above the chat window to see and follow the history of all the conversations you have had in the room you are in.
If you wish to minimize the conversations, you only have to click on the tab.
Visitoons Menu
You can fold and unfold Visitoons menu by clicking on the tab above the window that reads: powered by Visitoons Chat.
From the menu you can access the options, Chat Rooms, Online Users, Enter, My Contacts, Profile, Preferences and Help.
Chat rooms
It shows all the active rooms in Visitoons Chat. From here you can find out how many users there are in a particular room and if you wish to change to other rooms you just click on the one you want and you are ready to go! (That’s it!)
Users online
You can see all the users currently online in the chat room you are in. Click on each one to access their User Card, block / unblock, invite them to a private chat and/or see their pictures.
You can also search for users, using the “User Search” button, which will take you to the Visitoons Chat site.
Entering a chat room
Click on Enter and you can log in with your email and password, tick Remember User, password or automatic log in. If you forget your password or you have not registered yet, you can do it from here as well.
My contacts
Once you are logged in you can see all your contacts in the same room.
Profile
On the profile option you can change your avatar, through the arrows on the side of the window. You can also select your status (online / absent / busy), and change your nickname. If you are already logged in, you can change your picture and personal message, both of them public to all the users who want to know more about you. Once you finished the changes press the “Apply Changes” button.
Preferences
From this tab you can adjust the sound and other characteristics of the avatars:

Chat Volume Turn the volume up/down in the chat room.

FX volume: Turns the chat effects up/down.

Brightness: Increases / decreases your avatar’s brightness. If you decrease it a lot, your avatar becomes almost invisible.

Scale: Makes your avatar bigger or smaller.
You can also mute all the sounds of Visitoons Chat. Tick “Accept Private Chat” so that the other users can invite you to have private chats and select the language for the whole application.
